A 10 minute walk from my favorite bar in Paris, you can find another cool joint for drinks called The Experimental Cocktail Club.
This speakeasy started a new trend for Paris cocktail lounges back in 2007. It was founded by 3 friends with a passion for mixology and dedication to bringing a unique experience to the Paris nightlife scene.
This classy and sophisticated, but fun, establishment was built around the idea of using fresh, local and unorthodox ingredients to create new and innovative cocktails. You can order from the menu, ask for a recommendation or even offer the bartenders a challenge by sharing your favorite liquor and ingredients for a custom cocktail of your own.

The crowd and atmosphere was super laid back. There was a DJ spinning some house and hip-hop, which added a groovy touch to my experience. The bartenders were very informational and helpful, especially since no one in my group, nor I speak French.
Overall my experience was great. It was awesome to be able to check out one of the first speakeasy bars in the city that helped revolutionize the cocktail scene into what it is today. Definitely a must if you’re a mixologist or cocktail connoisseur.
