It’s no secret that after watching the Narnia movies, we all joke about hidden passageways or doors that lead to mysterious places. More times than not we never get to find out what’s on the other side of those doors and even if we do, they don’t lead to another world. I know, it’s sad… but there’s a Little Red Door in Paris that takes you someplace incredibly cool; to one of the highest rated speakeasy cocktail bars in the world.
My first instinct when walking up to the Little Red Door, of course, was to open it. I tried and failed. I stood there baffled as I looked to my friends. The entrance is actually to the left as you stand in the door way but of course, a bright red door would catch anyone’s attention.

It wouldn’t be right if this speakeasy’s name wasn’t the Little Red Door and oddly enough, the Menu of Universal Values makes you feel like you’re in a fairytale. The bar is dark, like you would imagine a speakeasy to be. Lively conversations at tables with comfy cushion seating. If you didn’t have a chair to account for, there’s not much space to stand around. The staff were exceptional and the delicious concoctions speak for themselves. It didn’t take long to find out why the Little Red Door made the World’s 50 Best Bars in 2018.
