What’s a visit to Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower? It’s only one of the most iconic tall structures in the world and viewable from almost everywhere in the city. It’s incredible to see from any angle and fortunately for how my friends and I timed out our day, we were able to experience the Eiffel Tower in more than one way. Here are a few tips from my visit that might make yours more enjoyable.
1. Go an hour before dusk
The timing of how we planned out our day ended up being perfect. We got to the Eiffel Tower about an hour before dusk. We were able to see the Eiffel Tower in the daylight, which is a completely different experience than seeing it at night.

2. Get a ticket and view the under side of it; even if you aren’t going to the top
You can get a free view from anywhere in the city but under it. Unfortunately to get either the belly view of the Eiffel Tower or a view from on it, you must purchase a ticket. Ticket prices vary anywhere from 10 – 20€ depending on which level you choose. I unfortunately didn’t have time to go up to any of the levels due to the long lines. It was extremely busy.

A great place to have lunch in Paris: Le Comptoir
Where to eat dinner in Paris: Les Deux Magots
Like cocktails? Here are a few bars you can’t miss in Paris: Little Red Door, Le Syndicat
3. Shortly after dusk, view the Eiffel Tower from a distance
I had no idea about the light show that the Eiffel Tower puts on at night. I was driving away from the bottom of it and didn’t get to see a very good angle. It was very pretty! I recommend finding a good view from a distance for the evening light show.
