Seattle is continuing to heat up in the vegan food game, and it’s no surprise that some of the best plant-based joints are located in the self-proclaimed Center of the Universe: Fremont. When we heard that a new, unique and flavorful vegan spot called Galaxy Rune was opening up, we had to investigate.
If you aren’t familiar, Fremont is known for its off-beat, eclectic style, so surviving in Fremont means you gotta seriously deliver. And so far, Galaxy Rune is making a name for itself after only one week since opening in June 2019.

Galaxy Rune offers an indulgent variety of comfort food and American-style favorites. We were drooling over the menu board that flaunted words like frankfurter, pulled pork and bratwurst – and yep, it’s all vegan. They make most of their plant-based meats in house, and word on the street is they’re way tastier than the popular commercial brands.

Gluten-free options like chili cheese fries and coleslaw are on the menu, as well as gluten-free buns.
For drinks and sweet treats, they have a fun soda fountain that includes flavors like Peaches & Cream, Prickly Pear and Root Beer options – all of which you can upgrade into an ice cream float! Milkshakes are also on the menu, and to top it off, they even have homemade Dole Pineapple Whip. Yum.
You can find this little gem tucked inside the Fremont Village Square building. Peep the Galaxy Rune Facebook Page for more business info and hours of operation. We will be making our own visit very soon, so be sure to check back for our review!
