High Roller Las Vegas: Experiencing The World’s Tallest Observation Wheel

Top Rated Things To Do In Las Vegas

Did you know the world’s tallest observation wheel is located in Las Vegas? That’s right! The High Roller stands tall at 550 feet and gives you one of the most incredibly unique views of the city. I had the chance to experience the observation wheel in Vegas first hand with friend of mine during one of our most recent visits and we absolutely LOVED IT.

The High Roller Observation Wheel in Las Vegas

We originally spotted the High Roller during our helicopter tour over the strip with Sundance. The enormous Vegas wheel shined bright and everyone aboard looked like they were having a blast. This had to happen, no doubt.

The next day we ended up booking tickets. We had noticed there were two ticketing options. The first was for general admission, a suitable ticketing option for those traveling with family, and the second is called “Happy Hour”, which I’m sure you could’ve guessed… is for adults only. The best part about the Happy Hour ticketing option is that there is an open bar for the entire duration of the ride, which is 30 minutes. Score! There are a total of 28 pods. All are equipped with AC and seating. They’re pretty spacious but if you get claustrophobic, you may want to reconsider.

Pro-Tips For Visiting The High Roller

  • Should you choose to pick up tickets to experience the Happy Hour High Roller, tip your bartender well when the ride starts. This may just get you priority when the second, third (you get the picture), rounds start coming.
  • Talk to your bartender or host! They’re very informational about the High Roller experience and might even be willing to give you some insider city tips.
  • Both daytime and nighttime rides provide different landscapes and experiences. My friend Sean and I really enjoyed going early evening. You can catch the sunset and get a little taste of both nighttime and daytime rides!

Overall, my experience riding the High Roller and living lavishly off a 30-minute open bar was pretty fun. It gave a us a different view of the city and we made some new friends along the way. Would I recommend the High Roller to everyone? Yes. This is one of my favorite attractions in all of Las Vegas. If you have any questions, leave a comment and I’d be glad to assist!
