La Bohemia is a great spot to grab dinner or enjoy drinks while listening to live music.
One highlight of Mazatlán’s Old Town is the live music scene. Many restaurants offer live music beyond just the weekends, and ranging from acoustic guitar to full-on rock & roll bands.
One of our favorite places to catch live music in Mazatlán is La Bohemia. Their schedule is stacked weekly with many different artists and musical styles, and it’s always a fun way to spend the evening.

The music we caught while we visited was a California-based artist Jeff Pershing. Accompanied by a full band, the group played some original songs as well as many jazz, blues, rock and reggae classics. Other rotating acts included a Santana cover band, and live flamenco dancing.

Live trees and hanging plants grow inside the restaurant-venue combo, and bohemian-inspired paintings and decoration add a nice touch to the worn brick to make this place truly charming.

Some tips to enjoy your time at La Bohemia: There’s usually a cover for music, so be sure to bring pesos. Their Facebook page, linked below, will typically list the music nights and cover charges. The stage is surrounded by tables so get there a tad early to get a good seat! We did hear that you can also make a reservation in advance.

Lastly, while we enjoyed our meal here, it seems as though online reviewers had very mixed experiences with dining. There are some truly wonderful places to dine in Mazatlán in this area of town (like our fave, Topolo), so perhaps dine early elsewhere and enjoy drinks or light fare during the show instead.
