Le Syndicat is the 24th best ranked bar in the world. You couldn’t tell by looking at it from the street but once you enter, you quickly realize why it made it the list.
Yellow curtains are draped over walls covered in marker drawn pictures and written messages, something which you are welcomed to partake in during your visit. The lounge is dark, mostly lit up by candles on tables and street light. Old-school hip-hop played in the background, which for me, added a really fun throwback touch to the atmosphere.
Where To Eat At In Paris: Le Comptoir (French Cuisine, Anthony Bourdaine Recommended)
Seating is very limited at Le Syndicat. There are a few tables along the wall as you walk in, a few seats at the bar and if you’re lucky enough, there’s some fun lounge seating in the back. They do take reservations, so if you’re traveling to Paris during their high-peak tourist months or weekends, I highly recommend making a reservation. You can do that here.
Alas, the good stuff. There’s plenty of cocktail and other beverage options to serve any palette that enters.
Beer, cider, champagne, liquor flights, cocktails to share, you name it, they have it. But it’s worth noting whatever you get may come with a twist from the very talented chemists behind the bar. You will not be disappointed.
If you’re a fan of speakeasy cocktail lounges and happen to find yourself in Paris, Le Syndicat should be at the top of your list. A superb atmosphere highlighted by a fun bar, amazing cocktails that take your tastebuds for a satisfying spin, great music — this makes for a perfect spot to start or end a night out on the town.
