If you’re a sports fanatic like myself, it’s always an adventure trying to find bars in other countries that televise American sports. It’s a bonus if they serve up delicious treats and have a great selection of ice cold beer. Being in Mazatlán during the NFL playoffs, I was worried I wouldn’t find such a place but fortunately that wasn’t the case. Lucky B’s Cantina Grill saved the day.
After spending the day at Isla de Venados, we wanted to find a place to watch the New Orleans Saints playoff game. Not too far away from where our sailboat dropped us off, down the street from Ponchos, we found this open-air bar called Lucky B’s Cantina Grill.
Our time at Lucky B’s was highlighted by a live, English broadcast of the Saint’s NFL playoff game, delicious chips and guac and amazing service. We didn’t get the chance to try any of their entrees unfortunately. However, reviews say their food is great, and they also have live music on the weekends. It didn’t take long for Lucky’s to become one of our favorite bars in Mazatlán’s Golden Zone.
